This article explains how Nyumbani Crew members are paid and how the payment system works.
HOW TO RECEIVE PAYMENTS
Members provide a mobile number that is registered with M-Pesa or Airtel Money. We forward all payments to the number provided.
HOW MUCH DO WE PAY YOU?
We have three payment plans:
- We will pay KSH 100 for every form that leads to a successful property listing. You can submit as many forms as you wish, provided you do not repeat the entries. We will not honor repeat entries.
- We will pay between KSH 100 and KSH 500 for listings resulting from assigned tasks. Assigned tasks are given to members to locate specific property types in the areas they are registered under. For example, if a member is registered under Estate B in Town X, we will assign them to locate property in that neighborhood and pay them upon successful find.
- The third payment plan will be from property owners who pay commission to individuals/agents who link them to buyers. This is explained in detail in the last part of this article. Read on.
WHERE DOES THE MONEY COME FROM?
The money comes from the property owner. Nyumbanikenya will charge the property owner a small fee to market their property to customers. Nyumbanikenya markets property on their website www.nyumbanikenya.com, on search engines like Google, on major social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Telegram & WhatsApp and through bulk SMS marketing. The price of a regular property listing is KSH100 per listing. NyumbaniKenya will remit this amount in full to the Nyumbani Crew member who recommended the property. For featured listings, the price is KSH500 to KSH1000 depending on the property type. Featured listings appear above regular listings in all marketing platforms. Paying for featured listing is optional for the property owner.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (IMPORTANT!)
We are aware that certain property owners pay commission to individuals who link them to buyers for their property. For example, a property owner called John is looking for a buyer for his piece of land valued at KSH5 million. John is willing to pay KSH 5000 to anyone who will link him to a buyer. Grace, a Nyumbani Crew member, recommends John’s piece of land for listing on our website. This is how we will handle such a listing; first, ‘Grace’ will have to let us know about the KSH5000 commission, we will then contact ‘John’ about this, verify the truth on such a claim and then collect the pay on behalf of ‘Grace’ . We will charge John our usual listing fees. Once the property is listed on our website, we will pay ‘Grace’ the amount charged on the property owner and the commission paid out by the owner. Honoring the commission is purely on the property owner and we will only remit what he/she pays out.
